This vintage pours a pale straw in the glass and offers up aromas of honeysuckle, lychee, and white peach slices. Bright, crisp stone fruit greet the palate with the suggestion of grapefruit and a drop of honey. The soft, sunny finish is great!
2015 we began to emerge from the drought with 22.9 inches of rainfall (80% of average). The warm summer stressed the vines early which accelerated ripening and concentrated the fruit flavors in the grapes. Harvest was fast and furious; we picked our first grapes August 17 (Pinot Noir) and our last on September 30 (Cabernet Franc), with the last wines pressed off October 12 to complete crush 2015.
