About the wines themselves

I know what I want, let's skip the review and go to the current releases!

I'm not sure about which wine to give and would like to use a gift certificate, available in any amount and sent to you or to your recipient!

Our estate-grown Chardonnay is fermented and aged in French oak barrels.  Rich and golden in color, its fruity nose gives way to delicate apple undertones on the palate, followed by a soft, lingering finish.  It compliments the abundant choice of California seafoods and many poultry dishes.

The Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak, is soft and luscious, evoking rich raspberry notes.  Serve on the cool side, as you might a French Chinon.  Flavorful poultry dishes, game hens, lamb, and many meats are most enjoyable with our Cabernet Franc.  What is this Cabernet Franc, after all?

In the classic California style, our Cabernet Sauvignon is a smooth, robust ruby, reaping the benefits of 22 months in French oak.  Savor it with London broil, filet mignon, or your favorite grilled meats.

R.V.'s Fine Claret is a Bordeaux-style blend from selected barrels of our Franc and Sauvignon. It honors English immigrant R.V. Garrod, who enjoyed his evening's glass of Claret well into his 90's. The soft elegance of this Claret lends itself to pairing with fine meats and raspberry truffles!

Our Syrah is from our newest, Finley vineyard and aged eleven months in French Oak. The wine pours a deep, purple-red in the glass and leads to violets and dark-fleshed fruit in the nose. With the gamey quality you like in Syrah, it is very nice served with "wild" meats and heartier dishes.

The Viognier is from 2 acres of Randall Grahm clone in Finley vineyard and aged in neutral French oak. With tantalizing flavors of honey, pear, and nectarine, this is a special white wine, and delicious with fruity sauces -- or with foie gras on toasts.

Select annual production is about 3,000 cases.  Our families devote a good deal of attention to producing wines which merit the Cooper-Garrod label.

We hope you enjoy our wines as much as our families enjoy making them for you!!!
