2003 Syrah (Special Library Release)
The 2003 Syrah was one of Wine&Spirits Magazine's Best Syrahs of 2008 and earned 94 points. The tasting notes upon release: "The Syrah pours a dark, rich purply-red color, the nose picks up blackberry jam, eucalyptus and great campfire memories. In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, with blackberries, figs, and smoked chops with a light sprinkling of thyme. The finish is smooth and long-lasting with figs, spices, and tannins on the tongue." The grapes were picked by hand in two lots, destemmed, and fermented in small bins with hand punch down four times a day. After pressing, the wine went through malolactic fermentation and 11 months of barrel aging. 312 cases were bottled in August 2004.
We now have the pleasure of giving you the rare opportunity to purchase this award-winning Syrah for $51/bottle ($40.80 Club members).
