Wine
Tasting - Our historic tasting room, the Fruit
House, is open daily, weekdays, 12-5; weekends, 11-5, closed Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and New Year's Day.
We have three tasting panels: one complimentary (three wines) and
two Proprietor's Flights (six or seven wines - $5 in our glass,
$10 in your
16 oz. souvenir glass).
Bring a picnic to enjoy with some of our
wines or plan on lunch or dinner in one of Saratoga's great restaurants.
Try
our wines, then we'll direct you to other known, and not-so-well-known,
wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains
- each with different wines to
try and stories to tell!
We are happy to welcome your
group for a one hour, regular or after-hours wine tasting
of our Proprietor's Flight in the 16 oz. souvenir glass - $20/person,
10 person minimum.

Vineyard, Winery and
Eco-tours -
in addition to daily wine tasting, we offer five different
tours:
First Saturday of the month, 11 am, we offer
an in-depth, winemaker-guided tour of our vineyards and winery
followed
by a complimentary Proprietor's Flight tasting of our wines. No
charge, but reservations are
required.
Weekday
tours
During the week, we are happy
to explain what (if anything) we are doing in the winery
at time of you visit. If we are not working in the cellar,
you are welcome to walk around and see our facilities then
join us for wine tasting. Here are some
photos to familarize you with our winery and vineyards.
2008 Eco-tours are currently scheduled for Feb
23, Apr 27,
Jun 21, Aug 23, Oct 18, and Dec 6. All
start at 10 am.
Join
our Docent, Ramblin' Bill, on a fun, casual and up-close
hike through Cooper-Garrod
Estate Vineyards and the adjoining Mid-Peninsula Open Space.
This is a great opportunity to see spectacular scenery while
learning about sustainable winegrowing practices.
Bill’s tours wind through the estate’s distinct
eco-systems, each one uniquely contributing to the process
of sustainable winegrowing as well as preserving balance
in the larger area. This moderate hike starts at 10 and lasts
approximately two hours.
Bill has been fascinated with ecology for many years. He
has a passion for hiking and has logged many miles on trails
throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
Wear comfortable footwear and bring sunscreen and water,
especially on hot days. You might
consider leaving a cooler with picnic stuff in your car.
No charge, but please signup so
we can plan accordingly.
Our in-depth, winemaker-guided tour is available
by special arrangement for 10 or more people for $20 a person,
which includes
an 16 oz ounce souvenir tasting glass. Tours are subject to
availability and should be booked at least 72 hours in advance.
Please use the comments section to convey any special information
we need, e.g., description of your group, timing, etc.
to schedule your group, then return
here to confirm your reservation.
We use a mobile bottling
line that will be here for two days. If you would like to
learn
about the process, we will
conduct 15-20 minute tours at 11 and 2 each day and conclude
in the tasting room.
No charge,
but reservations are
required as there is limited space. Please advise your 1st and
2nd (if any)
tour time. This is up close observation, but you're
not actually working the bottling line.
