  • March 31, The Wine Ride - 10 AM-12:30 PM.  Join us at Garrod Farms for an hour-long guided horseback trail ride thru our vineyards and into the beautiful Saratoga Foothills with views overlooking the Silicon Valley.  Then mosey over to our tasting room for wine tasting and a mini brunch buffet.  No previous riding experience required! This wonderful experience is offered on the last Sunday of every month. $90 per person, reservations required by noon the Friday before, and based on space available.  Pre-payment is due at the time of the reservation. Call the Stables Office to book, at (408) 867-9527. Long pants and closed toed shoes required; no heels or sandals, etc., allowed.   Helmets will be provided. 
  • March 31, Santa Clara Valley Passport Month!  March 1st - March 31st  Follow the Santa Clara Valley Wine Trail and wine taste at our 30+ wineries! As a Passport holder, you have the opportunity to meet the talented winemakers and staff and learn how they produce some of the world’s finest wines. You can expect up to 4, one-ounce pours at each winery you visit during the month. Participating wineries may have food and entertainment, pour special select or library wines, offer barrel samples and many will offer attractive discounts on Passport Weekend. Purchase the passport by visiting participating wineries OR by visiting the Wineries of Santa Clara Valley website for more information!

  • April 6, Walk with the Winemaker Meet up with our winemaker to learn more about our winemaking process from vineyard to bottle!  Explore our Chardonnay vineyard, and learn about how grapes are grown and harvested; walk through our crush pad to learn about the fermentation process, and into our barrel room to learn more about aging wine.  The tour ends in the Tasting Room; the tour is complimentary and tasting is $15/person. 
  • April 7,  Music at the Vineyards, Sundays, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. -  Hootenanny - acoustic versions of your favorite pop and rock songs Spend your Sunday afternoon sipping wine in the fresh air under beautiful old trees, listening to music like it's a private little concert just for a select group - which is exactly what this IS!  Bring some cheese and crackers, or a picnic, buy a bottle of wine, and enjoy the afternoon.  The series continues through the fall.   • April 14, Eco-Tour, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Celebrate the start of fall by learning a little more about the land surrounding where our grapes are grown!  Look more at the flora, fauna, and wildlife of our ecosystems here at the ranch, located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains.  Join our Eco-Tour with local expert Ramblin' Bill Bosworth for the approximately one-and-a-half hour walk along dirt trails up our hillsides overlooking Silicon Valley.  Not overly strenuous, you will want to wear decent walking shoes, perhaps bring a water bottle and hat, plus maybe a little sunscreen.  The tour is complimentary.  Consider bringing a picnic and doing a little wine tasting afterward!   Please email events@cgv.com to let us know you're coming, so we have an idea how many to expect.
