GSO deliveries

In California and bits of Arizona and Nevada, we ship via Golden State Overnight to ensure next day and Saturday delivery.  Business addresses are automatically redelivered the following day, but, unlike UPS/FedEx, GSO does not automatically redeliver to residential addresses the following day.  Instead,

  • A door hanger and email ask the recipient to contact GSO and schedule redelivery at convenient date and time, including Saturday.
  • If the customer has not responded to the door hanger or email within 2-3 days, GSO attempts Monday to Friday redelivery.
  • If the customer is not home on the second delivery, a new door hanger and email start the process again. 
  • If nothing is heard within 2-3 days, GSO will return the wine to us.
  • The GSO missed delivery email notice will give you a link where you can schedule your re-attempt online.

In sum,

  • All three carriers require Adult Signature and make multiple attempts to deliver.
  • GSO delivers on Saturday and allows more time for delivery before the package is returned.
  • Your involvement is required if you would like a delivery window re-delivery from GSO.
  • Whenever possible, use a business delivery address.
