1997 R.V.'s Fine Claret

    This wine is a Bordeaux-style blend of two select barrels of each of our 1997 George's and Lone Oak Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and our 1997 Francville Vineyard Cabernet Franc.  The grapes were picked in small lots in September and October 1997 and fermented in 100 gallon bins, with  punchdown of the cap by hand four times a day.  The wine was then aged in oak for 20 months.  140 cases were produced.
